ADVOCACY: Shelter NSW Local Housing Forum

In October, Shelter NSW hosted an open forum discussing how Councils can deliver stronger outcomes on affordable housing for their communities across NSW.

Councillors, candidates, council staff and community members from LGA’s across NSW joined the forum to participate in the discussions.

A snapshot from the forum illustrates the reality of the housing spectrum against current wages in greater Sydney and NSW. This data shows that a majority of the community are unable to access rental housing without being in rental stress.
