Shree Bhotenamlang Secondary School, NEPAL

Work is nearing completion on the new water supply and storage systems, handwashing, teeth brushing and waste treatment systems for the 600 students and teachers of Shree Bhotenamlang Secondary School, Sindhupalchok, Nepal. For the first time in many years students and teachers will have a safe and healthy place to wash their hands and face, and go to the toilet.

Working to designs prepared by architecture students during the May 2018 Sanitation Studio, the local village building team have completed the stone foundations, brick walls including earthquake resistant banding, and roof.

In February the school hosted international world skill plumbers from Australia and India to work alongside and train the local village team. After 6 days the plumbing work was complete, and work well underway to complete the new facilities in time for their official opening on the 3rd anniversary of the Nepal earthquake in April 2019.
