Nepal earthquake – update 4

Bishnu Shrestha, manager of the Nepal Village Development Project and the Teeth and Toilets program, has sent a report containing some graphic images of the destruction in the first village to participate in the program (in 2007).

Several members of this first village construction team, who have gone on to work on subsequent programs and train other villagers, have lost their houses in the earthquake.

Thanks to Bishnu for keeping those of us concerned about the situation on the ground well informed. With Bishnu, Rotary, other our partners such as the WorldSkills Foundation and IAPMO and many, many generous contributors who have already donated money to help …we are planning the immediate shelter response and permanent reconstruction.
