Colin James, a celebration of life, Saturday 2nd of March
Take Col’s walk (or drive) to Shepherd Street, Darlington, and at 11.30 am
assemble on the corner of Shepherd and Abercrombie Streets, to join a public
procession with the funeral hearse to the “Block” in Eveleigh Street, Redfern.
At 12 noon on the Block a salute to Col’s coffin will take place before the funeral
hearse leaves for the crematorium.
12.15 a public “Celebration of Colin’s Life” will commence upstairs in the Redfern
Community Centre, 29-53 Hugo Street Redfern, with film footage of Col, and a
slide presentation.
At approximately 1.15pm when Col’s family return from the crematorium a wake
will formally commence MC’d by friend and colleague of Col’s, Rick Lepastrier.
speakers will cover the broad range of Colin’s influence across multiple fields of
his working career.
