Housing for Health is the largest continuous program of housing improvement in Australia's history. The data collected is accessible, accurate and tells a clear story about Indigenous housing and health issues over the last 25 years. Many departments have regular development days and a talk combined with a practical session could be arranged to focus your team on issues of housing, health, community involvement, maintenance or issues of sustainability.
Community groups and service clubs
Housing for Health project make strong links with communities both in Australia and overseas, find out more about the social aspects of the program and the tools used to involve local people in the projects.
Universities (undergraduate level, masters and research students)
The principles of Housing for Health that link the living environment and health, have been developed, tested and improved over 25 years. The material has been used by several universities for teaching and a Housing for Health courses conducted over the last 10 years in several states of Australia.

The Housing for Health work has been widely published in architectural and health journals. The work has received national and international awards from the architectural and health professions. A pre conference workshop with a practical session could be arranged to focus on housing and health issues, maintenance or issues of sustainability.

Our Workshops
Talking Housing for Health
Find out the details of the 26 years of Housing for Health history, where the work started, results of the national program and overseas projects. The 1 hour talk will be an audio visual presentation and require a room that can be darkened. $450 plus travel if required in your venue.
Housing for Health: learning to test houses using the Survey Fix process
Over a full day the course will go through the Housing for Health process, how to complete a Housing for Health survey and looking at the results. The course will provide all the training materials, tools and reference notes to each participant. $75 per person with a minimum group size of 10 people plus travel, venue and accommodation.
The Research and Development projects explained
Over a full day, the course will go through your choice of selected Research and Development projects from the 50 applied R&D projects investigated by Healthabitat. The day will include a practical exercise in the form of a game based on an R&D project.
Go to the R&D section of this website to select the projects that interest you most and describe what it is your organisation wishes to know more about. HH can arrange a days agenda with you and provide notes and audio visual material. $100 per person with a minimum group size of 10 people plus travel, venue and accommodation.

This course combines the above courses to provide two days of intensive practical work and presentation. This course could be an ideal part of a professional retreat or an intensive introduction to a conference program. $200 per person with a minimum group size of 10 people (negotiable with group size) plus travel, venue and accommodation.
