World Habitat Award win
Thanks to all that supported the Housing for Health work that won the World Habitat Awards for 2011. The win is important particularly at a time when the Australian Government seems to be implementing actions that are directly counter to all the principles of Housing for Health. Hopefully a few Australians will compare what the WHA judges reported about the Housing for Health program and compare the details to what is being rolled out nationally as the National partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing. Compare the costs, the levels of local community participation, the measurements (or lack of measurement) of housing function…………why is so much money still not providing housing that will support health?
