Clean business or strange business?
The attached article promotes the idea that encouraging entrepreneurs in sanitation will improve conditions in developing countries.
HH is happy to use any means available to improve living conditions but sees little evidence worldwide of the ‘market’ being interested in the living conditions of the poor. When we read that“Wrestling with the complex cultural and economic factors influencing attitudes towards modern sanitation”
we wonder if the wrestling match is worth the effort. Maybe use the same energy installing pipes, working water systems, toilets and changing tap washers.
We hope that any research activity is accompanied by immediate change on the ground.
