The big picture … with fine grain

The report from CHDS (Nepal) on the just completed Stage 6 of the Nepal Sanitation Program has just arrived and it reveals the fine grain of all the work required to produce the sanitation program.

This was the largest single stage of the program ever completed, with 20 toilets being produced. It was further complicated by the sites for the last toilets needed in the two villages being widely spread up and down steep valleys.

The report shows all the stages of the process from meeting the participating families through to the family health and hygiene instruction following the completion and handover of the toilet systems.

It is the fine grain and attention to detail, by all those involved, that standout in these apparently simple pictures. HH thanks all involved in Nepal and the supporters of the program internationally. If you have been a contributor over the years the program has been running, you have helped not only the construction of toilets and waste disposal systems but your help has helped develop the teams that are now so skilled and confident in all aspects of the program.
