Nepal toilet project expands

November 3rd, 2011

CHDS Nepal completed a Feasibility report on four villages and the Dandagaun and Arubot villages were chosen to commence 2 prototype toilets in each village to give local villagers a good understanding of the method of construction, skills needed, costs and the importance of the waste treatment, both septic tanks and bio gas systems, and not just the visible, above ground, toilet structure. With the care and skill of CHDS, villagers and the whole construction team, the 4  demonstration toilets were handed over to the village in early November 2011. Now the next stages for each village are being planned and as always some money is needed to assist the building works.
