Bhattedande Village – brief assessment
From a brief text message from Paul Pholeros in Nepal we know the following:
- Assessment of Bhattedande Village started on Tuesday
- Of 12 houses assessed only 1 is OK
- All toilets and systems are OK and working
- Critical shelters commenced and the toilets and water tanks have proven invaluable
- Estimate of village house count – 80 of 81 houses destroyed
- Aftershocks continue
- All teams are fine
Paul and Sandra arrived on Tuesday before the second Earthquake hit. They took with them additional tarps for shelters. Communication has been limited to brief text messages and required some assumptions made to decipher.
