HH worked in the town camp houses a while back (2006 with the Fixing Houses for Better Health program) and despite the vitriolic criticism of the Town Camps by consecutive Liberal Coalition and Labor federal governments, the housing when managed by Tangentyere Council (before the intervention and SIHIP Housing program) was the best performing in the NT and compared well with national housing function figures.

HH asks a simple question of the NT and Federal Government …

If a Housing for Health program was run in the Town Camps today, after the massive investment by the Federal Government’s SIHIP program and management by the NT Government (under the public housing model forced upon the Town Camps), would the housing function rates be better or worse than the 2006 figures?
