SOCIAL HOUSING FORUM New Zealand
What do you get when you cross a maori architect with a politician, a health care professional, a cultural curmudgeon and an activist .... well who knows is probably the right answer!!
The Social Housing Forum has thrown this mix together to expand the view of housing towards improving the function of housing in New Zealand.

CUSP: Designing into the next decade
From data to health, architecture to fashion, and in many unexpected spaces in between, who is working on the ’cusp’ of thinking in their field, and what is driving their work?A collection of designers from a broad range of design areas.
With a forward-looking bent, CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade recognises that design can evolve, and that, while outcomes are always desired, often it is the process that provides the greatest illustration. For this reason, CUSP will be anchored by a set of ideas, or ‘visions’, of what drives each designer. Rather than being about objects, CUSP becomes about practice.
CUSP has been imagined and developed as a three-year creative program, with seven physical iterations around Australia from early 2013 to early 2015. In addition to the exhibition, which will spotlight some outcomes emblematic of each designer’s practice, there will be ways for audiences to directly engage and interact with the designers and the ideas that guide their work.
the Casula Powerhouse installation
play the game ... use the fridge magnets to match a health problem to the environment that casuses the problem and identify a solution... difficult ...YES
First use the app on the ipads to see what parts of the environment around the Powerhouse are being monitored. How much energy is being used/ What temperatures are inside and outside the space? How many people have entered in the last hour? Then use the app to see the stories about how Healthabitat uses all types of data to design better living environments to improve health.
